N3twork Studios nabs $46M in Griffin Gaming Partners-led funding round

N3twork Studios, a blockchain gaming startup, has recently raised $46 million in a funding round for making high-quality blockchain games. According to reports, Griffin Gaming Partners headed the round with participation from Kleiner Perkins, LLL Capital, KIP, Galaxy Interactive, Floodgate, and N3twork Inc.

Under this financing, Peter Levin from Griffin Gaming Partners' will join the studio's board of directors. The funding will aid the launch and development of the first two blockchain games of the studio, namely Legendary: Heroes Unchained and Triumph.

In a statement, Matt Ricchetti, President of N3twork Studios, said that the firm consists of veteran game makers who are capable of seeing a generational opportunity to leverage their proficiency in building and operating free-to-play games for creating authentic web3 experiences which can reach millions of players.

N3twork believes in a future where game economies are more explored and players own the assets they purchase and earn.

Accomplishing is goal will need two things: enlarging the crypto gaming audience, and showing the free-to-play audience that web3 will add value to their game experience.

N3twork Studios was founded in January 2022 by the games team of N3twork Inc., when Forte acquired the N3twork platform. The firm is built by 60 industry veterans from organizations including EA, Kabam, Machine Zone, Zynga, Scopely, Glu, GREE, Disney and Warner Brothers — who have earlier built and worked on many successful live service titles.

The firm is planning to employ its experience in free-to-play games as a significant advantage for changing the scale of audience impact.

Its capabilities will be leveraged to enlarge the crypto games audience and deliver a game experience that shows the largest game audiences in the world, which web3 will provide an advantage to all types of players.
