Appliqate buys ELEV8 to expand its presence in event tech industry

U.S.-based- Appliqate Inc. has reportedly announced the acquisition of ELEV8- an event platform for connecting enterprise and corporate thought leaders, investors of blockchain, executives, digital assets, and distributed ledger technologies.

Notably, the company offers a line-up of hybrid, virtual, and in-person events comprising notable institutions at the forefront of digital asset transformation. The notable participating organizations comprise IBM, BlockFi, JP Morgan, TDAmeritrade, Bumble Bee Foods, NASDAQ, Wisdom Tree, FedEx, Galaxy Digital, Celsius Network, and several other global institutions.  

It is evident that blockchain and digital assets have grown beyond pilot projects and proof of concepts. The expanding industry is aiming at seeing organizations use the advanced technology in several new ways, along with the institutional investors injecting billions into bitcoin and other recognized digital asset forms.

Along similar lines, non-fungible tokens have recorded unprecedented adoption in the last few months. For instance, the NBA has sold more than USD 200MM through their Top Shot effort and Graphic designer-Beeple sold NFT for a whooping USD 69.3MM. EV giant- Tesla has also committed to digital assets through the purchase of bitcoin worth USD 1.5 billion and is working towards accepting digital currency as a mode of payment.
