Sword France becomes an institutional baker in the Tezos ecosystem

Sword France is stepping up its commitment to the Tezos ecosystem by becoming an institutional baker. Tezos is a decentralized blockchain dedicated to creating and managing assets and distributed applications. As the official baker, Sword France validates certified transactions (blocks) and adds them to the public register of the Tezos blockchain.

Sword France consolidates the acquisition of the Tezos network

Sword France, a major international player in digital transformation, is committed to blockchain technologies and Tezos in particular. In particular, last month Sword France launched Tezos DigiSign, an open source solution for digitally signing, storing and reviewing documents on the Tezos blockchain.

Sword has been a leader in digital transformation since 2000 and has built a solid reputation as a publisher of software and managing complex IT and business projects. Sword relied on Tezos and selected a blockchain protocol that met expectations for technical excellence and high security standards.

Alain Broustail, Blockchain Director at Sword, comments,

“We are convinced that crypto assets and especially security tokens will play an important role in the banking ecosystem of tomorrow. Becoming an institutional baker on the Tezos blockchain is evidence of this belief and represents another step towards blockchain -Introduction. ”

He adds: “The choice of the Tezos blockchain is no coincidence. We have been studying Tezos technology for over a year and working with the community. The Tezos blockchain offers guarantees of security, transparency and high adaptability. This makes it for Companies like ours are very attractive. In particular, we believe this is the best technology available today for issuing securities tokens. ”

The network of institutional bakers in the Tezos ecosystem is growing in France

The Tezos blockchain uses a consensus algorithm based on a LPoS (Liquid Proof-of-Stake) mechanism. The creators of blocks, called bakers, fulfill the same role in an ecological way as the blockchain miners of previous generations. Each block is created by a randomly chosen baker, approved by other bakers, and validated by the rest of the network. They therefore put their stake in Tez (XTZ) as security to ensure blocks are correctly validated, which encourages network participation and ensures network security.

As a baker on the Tezos blockchain, Sword France joins more than 400 bakers around the world who participate in securing the Tezos network every day.

This announcement by Sword France follows a recent announcement by the subsidiary of French utility Exaion, who has also become a baker on Tezos.

Michel Mauny, President of Nomadic Labs, the research and development laboratory that contributes to the development of the Tezos blockchain in France, added:

“The Tezos ecosystem is one of the most active in the world and we are delighted that companies like Sword France and EDF have decided to join the core of Tezos governance. Our vision for blockchain is inclusive, we support and support all companies that remember to discover and implement blockchain technology. ”
